Great Pod Cast Liam. You have researched some great information about possums. Yes they certainly are a pest. I guess they didn't think they would get so out of hand when they were first introduced to New Zealand.
Excellent job Liam using your plan to write your explanation. It was very effective. I agree with Miss Walker, I guess they didn't think they would go wild like they did.
Do you think something like this could happen again?

What could we do to prevent it?

get pod cast liam i think you really did tell us a great explanation of a possums
ReplyDeleteGood Job my boy!
ReplyDeleteNo, because there is no way to get into New Zealand without going through customs because they check for animals and stuff from overseas.
ReplyDeleteSomething like the tasmanian Devil.
ReplyDeleteTo prevent it we can test it in its own habitat first before bringing it to New Zealand.
A tarantula could come in a fruit crate from overseas.
ReplyDeleteWe could prevent by checkng food crates before and after they come to NZ
People could smuggle in dingos. We could prevent it by scanning luggage etc. in customs.
ReplyDeleteWe can have them only in zoos etc. so they don't breed like crazy
snakes could get into fruit crates and could have babies.
ReplyDeletebut all of the animals can not get in NZ because of costoms
Yes something like this could happen again.
ReplyDeleteWe could check ships and planes thoroughly in case animals or reptiles are on board.
Maeve
